Striped Barbados Lily, enjoying its little shade under the tree.
Ready but not yet to open fully...
Some raindrops on the windshield.
Traces of the raindrops on the rose's leaves.
More drops clinging nicely :)
These blooms look so alive :)
And the Peruvian Lilies also looking bright.
We drove away mid-afternoon to attend our aunt's wake. And the raindrops met us just before we arrived at the place. I was like, whaaaat? Rain in March?
We were not expecting any rain any time soon and it came which we appreciated because there was a forest fire that had been going on for a few days now and we thought the rain would help put it out.

The raindrops stopped after a while so we walked towards the wake venue after we secured a parking space. On arriving, there were quite a lot of people so we stayed at their neighbor's yard and it was where these flowers were photographed.
Great to see traces of rain on some of the plants especially on the leaves of the roses. It was as though they were morning dew that are yet to evaporate, fall away or drop.
Anyhow about an hour later, we learnt that one of our cousin's son is getting married tomorrow and there's a pre-wedding bash. Whaaat? Haha! Yep. Another surprise. It's funny the farmboy and I didn't know. We wanted to check it out so we left the wake and drove some 40 minutes away to the pre-wedding party. We guessed there will be dancing and stuff after the dinner and true enough, the hired band started playing their music and people got into the groove.
While it was fun to stay, we needed some rest so we drove back home a little while ago. And rest we must and until tomorrow :)
Cheers!
