Black, no sugar :)
Lil cozy coffee place :)
A cup of coffee is like a hug it says on the wall.
Macchiato is their recommended drink of the day
But we still prefer our cup to be filled with the native black.
Another graphic by the wall on the way to the restroom.
"Coffee should be black as Hell, strong as death, and sweet as love."
The quote above made me raise an eyebrow for a moment when I first read it. My mind asked, "who would know how black hell is and how strong death is?" Hmmm... depends on how we interpret really. But this somewhat shows that someone out there, whoever made the statement, knows his/her coffee. 😅
My coffee love (sweetheart) is black, no or less sugar. It's been so for I think a decade by now. It wasn't my first actually as we had been experimenting on our tastebuds when we were way younger. Milk and Milo were what filled our cups at home way back before I turned 12 (I think). Chocolate drinks were what I raved about in high school until my Uni years. Then I was forced to adapt and came to love many types of tea during the early years of my career. Had a play around with Starbucks and many other coffee joints there is elsewhere.
Then finally came the native Barako which perhaps is the only type of coffee that doesn't make me experience any funny side effects no matter how many cups I may have in a day. Well, that's not entirely true, it depends on how it is brewed because others like it really strong which can really kick some butt, lol! I prefer mine to be just light, friendly to the tastebud and to the stomach.
Others, although they are fancy in looks and in their names, are not really that friendly with me. Like the one I shared sometime ago of the Macchiato that had me feeling hyper throughout the night and a day. It's quite a kicker, that one. Not my first time though but I just never learn my lesson, lol!
Anyway, these photos were captured at the coffee shop where we enjoyed an afternoon not so long ago. They had wallpapers which had graphics of coffee and such. It seems that this type of decorating is becoming common among diners and cafes.
They have other coffee mixes on their menu but their black coffee is free and unlimited (as long as their percolator is filled with it, that is). It is self-service so you can fill your own cup, add some sugar or none at all.
I like the coffee 'beat' up there, lol
And someone not so sneaky (on the mirror) trying not to be caught, lol!
Nothing much, I just like them so had to include them today. Anyhow, it's a windy Thursday up here in the mountains. I was late to wake up, falling back to sleep after catching up with the #TengoShow at 4:30 am where Matilda cracked me up early, lol!
It was fun, that show. There will be another next Tuesday and you may want to pop up and join the fun. You may even be gifted with some Layer 2 tokens, surprises may come, mind you.
Photos are my own. 09022023/09:50ph
