Whew! The new week has graced us with the coldest morning ever! I hope things are well with you wherever you are and whatever it is you're doing.
We came back home around 1 am from the wake of the husband's cousin and perhaps we were so exhausted from the trip in the lowlands and then going straight to the wake, we woke up rather late today. We still want to get more snooze but we needed to go back for the burial so rise and shine, darling hehe!
But before heading out, let me just share some art captures we had yesterday. We were in the city in the afternoon to run errands when we decided to walk through Session Road, one of the city center's main streets because it was Sunday and was closed to motor vehicles and opened to pedestrians and such.
Several things were going on - lots of mascots dressed in different customs representing various characters were scattered all along the road and people were taking photos of them and or with them.
There were even many Volkswagens on display too but I'll be sharing them on another day because today is meant for the few interesting faces doodled using colored chalks on the street.
These were actually taken when we were already coming back from the mall after having lunch and buying the unit we went there for. Unfortunately, we didn't see the artists of these doodles so they must have done them earlier in the day. There were not many people too considering it was almost 4 in the afternoon.
Apparently, the chalk art started way back in 2019 when a group of local artists brightened up the streets with their creative works during a Chalk Art Brigade back then. It has gained popularity over the last few years and it's great that they are back again when the pandemic restrictions were lifted.
The artworks are quite fascinating, don't you think?
Enjoy and cheers!
