Lechon Kawali with Salad on the Side...
"Is that all, Mommy!" He wanted more.
"Can I have some, please?" He was watching his papa fill our plate with more food. At least he's patient :)
"Time to take some siesta..." He was full.
A view of the Inverted Cafe from the outside.
Our fur baby in his investigative nose :) He spent some playtime outside the cafe afterwards.
"Wonder what's in here..."
Sniffing on the gravel...
Had to hold him a bit because he was chasing a man who was arriving, lol!
After spending some fun at the viewdeck, we took the other road leading to the Upside Down Café for lunch. It's the only place we know where we could fill our tummy in the middle of the fields and farmlands. Well, there was another called "Garahe" but we thought the inverted house offered more space, especially for our little one.
We arrived at the café quarter to 1 in the afternoon. Most of the tables were occupied by fellow hungry travelers. Well, at least they were already eating when we got there so we didn't have to wait long for our orders to be served. While we were checking out the menu, our puppy whimpered which meant he needed some air so I had to bring him to the balcony and left the husband to do the ordering.
Some 10-15 minutes later, he came calling us to go back inside because our meals were ready. Thank goodness because we were starving, lol! He ordered Lechon with a small portion of vegetable salad on the side and half a serving of pancit (sorry, we didn't take any photos of it, but it was tasty).
As usual, we had to let our fur baby taste which ones he liked. Meat? Nope, he didn't even give a second look at it, haha! We gave him the lettuce and bam! He loved it and so as the cucumber. The husband often teased that he was teaching us to become vegetarians. The funny thing is that we bought a lot of dog food, a big bag of it and he no longer wants to eat them so we have to have veggies each mealtime.
Anyhow, we enjoyed our food, and our tummies were satisfied. We were unable to finish them all so we had them packed for takeaway. We wanted to have coffee but they had a power outage at that time so their coffee machine was out. Even our fellow diners resorted to water instead.
We went outside afterward and let our little guy play to his heart's content.
Normally, I wouldn't let him go more than 2 meters away from me but at that time, I let him be. However, there was some construction going on at the back of the cafe (which we think it's an extension of the building) so I still had to keep a very close eye on him or he might run where the materials were.
Here are some photos of the farms across the cafe. I imagine that during rainy days, the fields would be thriving with green crops.
And for an overview of what the place looks like, here it is on the map. Most of the farms surrounding it were green in this snapshot so it was probably taken last year.
This ends our fur baby's Inverted House experience. We left the place at 2 pm for our next adventure which I will be writing about next time. Thanks for coming along :-)
