Show up, show up, show up...
Oh well, hello there! The dew seems to be well-arranged from mini, to small to large.
Yep, still a shot of the dew...
I went for an early walk at 6 today. My muscles felt so stiff and I figured they need some stretching and walking sounded great. While taking some photos of the morning dew hanging beautifully and effortlessly on the threads of the grass, I noticed a young lad with a backpack approaching. His hair almost yellow from artificial coloring which made me tease him he seems to be going for a modeling job or something. He laughed saying he just came back from his hometown after helping his parents harvest rice crops and there wasn't anything else to do so he thought he would try again to find some jobs here.
This young man was actually here not so long ago. The neighbors said he had been looking for a place to work for quite sometime already but most of the people they have approached said no. The husband commissioned him to do some jobs at the farm to see how "good" he was. More like a test, or an actual job screening of sort. Farming and the investments put into it are no joke, hence the need to find someone with patience, perseverance and most importantly, dependability because we cannot watch them closely everyday.
Anyway, we observed he works quite well and didn't wait to be told of what to do. We thought he might just be showing off since it was his first time so we paid him to do another set of jobs. He did well again so we were convinced he really had good work ethics and is hardworking too. We didn't tell him but we recommended him to my brother who was needing additional help. But then he went home saying he needed to visit his parents and he will be back in the summer hoping we can set aside a place for him. We agreed with no promises made.
Surprisingly, he came back earlier and at the perfect time too! I made the call and my brother picked him up an hour ago and he would be working for him, hopefully for a long time. His story, much like that of the others who came around and never gave up even when the horizon seems dismal, is quite inspiring that it got me writing on my index card today, re:
Show up, Show up, Show up. After a while, the muse shows up too.
A beautiful weekend here. Another day to be a lot better than we were (or did) yesterday. Cheers everyone and have a blast with whatever it is that you are to do today and tomorrow too :)
