"Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul."
- Luther Burbank
It's the weekend for me, Saturday that is! And guess what? My long-awaited sunshine is finally showing its rays up here in the mountains. You can imagine I'm eagerly waiting for it and would be out the yard once it arrives, lol!
The thing is it's been wet since the 1st so we left home and went for some lil adventures elsewhere. When we came back, it's still cold and dreary and the sun hasn't shown its cheerful face. Oh you would have guessed I've been missing it terribly. Even our yard plants have been soaking wet and they obviously need a little break and they are getting that today, so yay!
And before I get carried away, I'm sharing some random captures of different flowers from various places. They're one of those things that we just couldn't miss photographing and appreciating anywhere we go.
The first one was at the front yard of the farmboy's uncle when we dropped by their place for a quick (an hour or so) visit. We were going out their small gate when I noticed the Allamanda shrub blooming so phone out, camera on and click! The cousin told us to cut some of its branches so we did, why not? We are collecting plants too, you know and it's not polite to refuse, LOL! But yeah, we got 3, planted them already and hope to enjoy their blooms too in a few years.
All the others were photographed during our walks which I will be sharing on my next publications to refrain from photo dumping or photo overload. I'm just so chuffed that Mr. Sun is visiting today so I'm feeling a bit more cheerful than usual. I don't really like prolonged rainy days. They affect my mood. For some reason, rain makes me lazy and grumpy, but we obviously cannot avoid them. I'm just thankful that they don't last forever.
And there ends my ramblings for the day. Thank God it's a sunny day! I wish you a glorious day (night) wherever you are!
