Found these photos of a weekend many years ago during a team building which we took part in. I do not remember much of the details of the event but it was held in a hot spring resort called Palm Grove which is located in another town (Asin Tuba) about 45 minutes drive from the city.
These reminded me of some memories we had when we got swept into the craze of a networking business with beauty and home products were the main thing. Unfortunately, we did not continue because we lost the euphoria after about a year or two of spending time, money and effort on training that included weekly to bi-annual hotel conferences and traveling.
Our momentum was quite phenomenal back then. We built our team and got into the rankings, were recognized on different awarding stages, brushed elbows with successful entrepreneurs, received a few commission cheques, the husband was even making presentations to huge audiences, and we were attending parties among other things, but then our interest and enthusiasm over the business simply faded away. Somehow, we got exhausted and drained so we decided to just let it all go.
But they were enriching and quite fulfilling, those years. We learned many things through the experiences, met people and made friends with a few whom we still have connection until today. We were newly-married then, had nothing much to keep us busy except for our small computer business being manned by a young IT graduate. I couldn't help but smile looking back, reminiscing how things were during those times.
Those were the days, hehe!
Anyway, how are you today? Hope you are having a remarkable one and enjoying whatever it is that you are doing. It's the hump day on our side of town, a bit dreary and uncomfortably cold but we're good :)
I'll soon be driving off to my parent's place after having our breakfast which is really late so I'd call it brunch. Mom had been having a tough time. Her blood pressure had been abnormally high so she needs to be constantly monitored and supervised. She refuses to get hospitalized though and is fighting really hard.
Reminded me once more of those years during my high school days when she practically lived in hospitals. Tough times those were for Dad and the whole family but she lived through all them. So I believe and pray she will come out of these health challenges too.
And I wish you all good health and happiness today and always!
