It was a Sunday morning when I had a quick dip at the cold spring just a few steps away from our humble home in the province. I was with my cousins who are too cute. We had so much fun enjoying the cold water that the spring offers.
Liki Cold Spring is exactly located in Taloot, Argao, Cebu, Philippines. This is considered one of the coldest springs in the Southeast part of the province of Cebu. "Liki" or in English term "crack", this is where the name of this spring was derived simply because the water comes from a "crack in the rock."
With its natural resource of water, locals like us make Liki Spring our source of drinking water. Since its water is naturally flowing, locals could also wash the clothes, and take a bath here. However, the "tubod area" or where the crack is located is only exclusive to drinking.
This tourist destination is not asking for any entrance fee. As a resident of this place, we are just asking for each visitor to keep it clean so that the next generation would still have something to enjoy and look forward to.
How to get here:
If you are coming from Cebu City, you could ride a bus bound to Argao and disembark at Taloot proper. Upon arriving in this place, you could freely ask the locals for instructions on the location of the cold spring. The people here are very friendly and approachable.
If you are bringing a private car with you, just navigate "Liki Cold Spring" through Waze or Google Maps. You could also park your car at Taloot Barangay Hall which is just a few steps away from the cold spring.
This is just one of the many beautiful creations that could be found in Argao, Cebu. I'm just so blessed that we have something like this in our hometown.
That's it for today's Rejourney. I'll see you all on my next travel adventure. Stay safe.
