Hi, everyone. Rej here and I am back for another Rejourney. As someone who grew up as a breadwinner in the family, I always set aside my personal wants to give way for my family's needs. I've been working so hard for years now to help my family on our day to day expenses. I am the type of person who is so independent and would really work hard for the things that I need and want in life.
Last Saturday, I was on leave at work. I did some errands and decided to have my hair & nails done. I came across with this salon which is "Jess Labares" on Tiktok. It was one of the contents of the flight attendant that I've been following there. I was really amazed with the interior design of the place when I saw it online. So before coming here I did my research about their services. As someone who works as a Sales agent in a food processing company, I am so keen when it comes to customer service. Upon scanning through their customer's feedback online, I read a lot of good things about their salon so I decided to have my haircut here. This salon is located in Escario, Cebu City.
The service that I availed was rebond, brazilian, hair color and haircut since I really wanted to have that short hair again. I also tried to have their nail gel service for the very first time and I sooooo love it! I was really satisfied with their service. The staff there were so accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately, the owner of the salon wasn't there that time because she had a training as a flight attendant. However, I was able to talk to her mom and she was really amazed with my inspiring story. As we go on with our conversation, that's when I learned as well that Ms. Jess Labares (salon owner) was the one who got viral online before as the FIRST transwoman flight attendant in the Philippines. Aside from having her salon business, she finally got her wings back as well as a flight attendant in Cebu Pacific.
It was indeed a pamper day for me. I am just so happy seeing myself slowly enjoying the things in life now. Delayed gratification is really true. I am my own "person." At the end of the day, self love is very important no matter where we are now at this point of time.
That's for today's Rejourney. I will say you all on my next one. God bless us all.
