On this occasion I want to discuss a little about the oldest mosque that was first built in the province of Aceh.
The people of Aceh use this mosque as a place of worship.
Baiturrahman Mosque has an important role in the formation of the Aceh state.
Baiturrahman Grand Mosque was founded by Sultan Alauddin Mahmud Shah I in 1292 AD.
Basically the building is made of wood, but from time to time it continues to remodel until it forms a very beautiful architectural building that reflects European architecture.
The Baiturrahman Mosque has a long history, even in 2004 the tsunami that hit Aceh province, all the buildings sank with flash water, but the mosque was not touched by the tsunami water in the slightest, many refugees were silent in the Baiturrahman Mosque and they all survived the fierce waters tsunamis.
The tragedy that befell aceh province in 2004 was very heartbreaking, keeping various sorrows in that year as if the world had come to an end.
At that time I was 15 years old..
Year after year we have to start a new life with a new atmosphere..
In 2022 we are all quite happy to be back.
