It was a busy week for me in Cotonou more frequently outgoing than on other days when I was stuck behind the laptop all day and for a walk later in the evening.
I was at the immigration office as I worked on my nationalization, the main requirement for me is to provide my late mom's birth certificate to prove she is from Benin. Unfortunately, her birth was not registered so I was given an alternative option to provide her death certificate.
The issue with that is my other uncle who signed her death certificate passed away. So am I screwed? I am hoping not.
I am quite surprised at the way and manner the immigration officials were willing to help, since they heard I can speak my mother tongue language they were willing to help, plus I went with my bother-in-law from my mother's side so it made things a lot easier.
My birth certificate is also a requirement which isn't a problem, so I went to the Nigerian embassy in Cotonou, and on my way back, I decided to take about a 2km walk, probably less before I commute back home.
It was a walk I enjoyed on the city's sidewalks, calm, and peaceful, and everyone going on about their daily activities.
It looks like these guys like their flowers as care is taken to water and prune them and likikng the scenery, I had to have them photographed.
We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great
