When I think of Marykneel or Daki (bisaya slang for ducky) as how we call her, I always think of someone who's sweet and jolly. She's always that little sister kind of girl who wants to talk and talk about anything and everything!
If you noticed, Rachel Mae and Daki have the same accessories for this shoot because she was not planning to even get her photo taken. She's not comfortable because she's having some lip cracks due to the weather but I told her she can just ignore that and stop wearing her mask so I can take a photo of her, I told her not to worry as I can take those red marks out with Photoshop! She then trusted me and smiled on camera. She's not also very comfortable with the camera although she loves to ask me to take a photo of her whenever we have church activities but with her mask on.
For this shoot, I told her to just be natural and smile. If you noticed, she's not smiling with her teeth showing, there's only one photo with her smiling with her teeth showing because she said it's her insecurity but I told her not to worry much about it, we have to give our best smile. I guess she needs more exposure to shoots so she can really be natural with posing.
I now have models in my future fun shoots because of these girls. I guess the next time I'll be taking photos of them, they'll tell the other ladies and I will have more models to take photos with.
Anyway, I guess it's really my passion to take portraits as I don't mind having a lot of images to edit. Although I still have a lot of backlog, it's still a pleasure to be postprocessing recent shoots. Anyway, that's it for today.
Now if you wonder why she's called daki (ducky), back when she was smaller and younger, her mom told her she was like a duck where she'd dive in right away whenever she sees a body of water. And so her nickname became daki right from that moment.
