Ogbonor soup(docanut fruit) and eba is one of the popular delicacy know to associate with the great people of Anioma's people. It it prepared with the following ingredients.
Meat of ur choice
Ogbonor seed (docanut fruit)
Dry fish
Palm oil
Ugu leaf(optional)
Water
Crayfish
Stockfish
Maggi cube
Pepper
Salt to taste
Onion
Ogili ugba.
Precedure to prepare
Wash the meat, stockfish and fish.
Season the meat and stockfish with onion, maggi and salt to taste add a little water and cook till meat is tender.
Add the quantity of water needed to prepare the soup depending on the quality of the ingredients.
Grind the ogbonor, crayfish and pepper. With blender or with mortar and pistol.
Add palm oil to the grinded ogbonor in an iron plate, and melt it on fire.
Add the fish to the stock, boil until it is thicken a little.
Add the mixed ogbonor with oil and steer the mixture with the stock until it bind together.
Add the leaf depending on your choice.
Add Maggi and salt to taste and ur delicious ogbonor soup is ready.
Put water oo fire, if boiled put a little in a dip plate and add garri to make eba. Add boiled water on top to cover the garri seed. Cover for 5mintues and steer with a spatula and your eba is ready to eat.
Ogbonor soup can also be eaten with fufu, pounded yam or semolina depending on your choice.
