The world is undoubtedly surrounded by a wide varieties of beautiful flowers. Lilies are one of the unique flower with their long shaped petals and aroma. The flower has now been cultivated in almost all parts of the world as these are ornamental flowers and used for decoration. The flower consists of a six stamens surrounding a pistil in the center. In flowering plants, stamen is known as the male part and the pistil as female part. Its scientific name is Zephyranthes rosea and goes by the name as: rain lily or rosy lily. One of the fascinating facts of this species of lily plant is that it blooms only under the touch of rain. Then we can witness the magic of nature as if some magic has happened and the plant starts flowering after that. It's very easy to grow this one. In my case, I planted it in an earthen pot with a small hole for drainage of excess water. Kept it in a place with exposure to sunlight for some few hours. Make sure to grow it upright. It will need some minimal care like watering. Need to keep it far away from children and pets as its leaves are little bit toxic due to the amount of alkaloids it contain.
