Weekends are always my favorite day as I have the time either to have rest or have some leisure. Yet organizing an activity with friends is kinda hard.
When you don't have a job the issue would be the expenses but if you got one the problem now is the availability. Sometimes even though it was already planned it ended up cancelled due to unforeseen events that is why an on the spot trip is much better.
Visited Mt. Kulis one summer time and we planned this on weekdays; Monday and we go trekking Saturday of the same week. It is just approximately two hours away from our place and MASL is only 620. Ideal for beginners.
It has several tourist attractions such as Noah's ark, Sambong peak, Mini falls, spider web but the main attraction was the SEA of CLOUDS.
Ideally visit the place early in the morning, start the trekking as early as five so that by the moment the sea of clouds appears you are already at the summit. That feeling watching the sunrise while the places were covered with clouds was the best. Though I was thinking it would be better if you are also sipping a cup of coffee. Sadly there is none sold in there but if you want you can bring your own.
We only joined a group organized by tour guides which we found on Facebook. We didn't know some of our companions before hiking the mountain but we all ended up as friends.
