WELCOME TO MY BLOG
Best regards to all members of #Liketu, #HomeSolutions and #HiveArte. Those who have followed my blog have been able to realize each piece that I have created to give my home joy and color. From pieces made with MDF, felt, foami among other materials, they have been part of the great change that my house has had since I arrived 20 years ago.
The first time I entered my house, I even felt chilled by the state it was in, they were days of a lot of work to be able to make it habitable and little by little I began to decorate with the little I brought from my old home.
My beginnings
My passion for creating my own decorations began at the initiative of my sister-in-law, who had recently taken some wood painting courses and asked me to help make party favors for my nephew's first birthday. She was teaching me some of what she learned in her course and was indicating how to do it. This was in the year 2005.
Some time later, my husband appeared with a number of pieces of MDF already cut into squares and when my eyes saw all those pieces my artistic vein developed in a certain way that without even owning a brush, but with the little experience I had with my sister-in-law, it was reason enough to go out and buy my first brushes and paints.
This is how little by little my love for creating was born, and although my pieces are not from experts, they have my love and dedication imprinted on them.
There were many pieces that I created with these pieces of MDF, many of them were part of the decoration of my house, in decorations for the kitchen, small paintings for the living room and bedrooms, but over time they deteriorated due to the type of material and the amount of moisture in the walls of my home. I also gave away and sold some of them.
THE TEXAS AND MY PASSION TO TRANSFORM THEM
But what has filled me with the most satisfaction is the rescue and transformation of the tiles. There have been many that I have rescued from the garbage, from the front of my neighbors' houses when they have been changed or renovated. Going by and seeing them accumulated to be discarded is a reason for joy for me, going and talking to my neighbors and asking them to wash and paint them, and telling them about the recovery and transformation work has been a job. Some have been interested, I don't know if they have rescued some and painted, but those who have given them to me have received a tile transformed into a work of art that many have hanging on their garden or home walls.
Who else has benefited has been my mother, last year, in a space in my house equipped for tiles, I got to have around 15 decorated tiles. And at some point we had the intention of leaving the country and I began to give away all my paintings and ornaments, including the tiles that I was so fond of. Most of them are in my mother's house and I know that they will remain there for a long time until they deteriorate or break, but the trip did not take place and little by little I have been rescuing and painting another one to fill the empty spaces again.
The advantage is that in one way or another, without wanting to, I did a renovation and in this way I have been filling again that space that once housed more than 20 decorated tiles.
This has been my story about the way I have brightened up my spaces in my home, with small pieces created with my hands. But I love to recycle and transform tiles.

BIENVENIDOS A MI BLOG
Saludos cordiales a todos los miembros de #Liketu, #HomeSolutions y #HiveArte. Quienes han seguido mi blog han podido darse cuenta de cada pieza que he creado para darle a mi casa alegría y color. Desde piezas elaboradas con MDF, fieltro, foami entre otros materiales han sido parte del gran cambio que ha tenido mi casa desde que llegué hace ya 20 años.
La primera vez que entré a m casa, sentí hasta escalofrío por el estado en que se encontraba, fueron días de mucho trabajo para poder ponerla habitable y poco a poco comencé a decorar con lo poco que traía de mi antiguo hogar.
Mis inicios
Mi pasión por crear mis propios adornos comenzó por iniciativa de mi cuñada, quien recientemente había realizado unos cursos de pintura sobre madera y me pidió ayuda para realizar unos cotillones para el primer cumpleaños de mi sobrino. Ella me fue enseñando algo de lo que aprendió en su curso e iba indicando cómo hacerlo. Esto fue en el año 2005.
Un tiempo después, mi esposo apareció con una cantidad de retazos de MDF ya picados en cuadrados y cuando mis ojos vieron todos esos retazos mi vena artística se desarrolló de cierta forma que sin poseer ni siquiera un pincel, pero ya con la poca experiencia que tuve con mi cuñada, fue motivo suficiente para salir a comprar mis primeros pinceles y pinturas.
Fue así como poco a poco fue naciendo mi amor por crear, y aunque mis piezas no son de expertos, llevan impreso mi amor y mi dedicación.
Fueron muchas las piezas que creé con estos retazos de MDF, muchas de ellas formaron parte de la decoración de mi casa, en adornos para la cocina, pequeños cuadros para la sala y las habitaciones pero que con el tiempo se fueron deteriorando por el tipo de material y la cantidad de humedad que hay en las paredes de mi hogar. También obsequié y vendí algunas de ellas.
LAS TEJAS Y MI PASIÓN POR TRANSFORMARLAS
Pero lo que más me ha llenado de satisfacción es el rescate y transformación de las tejas. Han sido muchas las que he rescatado de la basura, del frente de las casas de mis vecinos cuando las ha cambiado o renovado. Pasar y verlas acumuladas para ser desechadas es un motivo de alegría para mi, ir y hablar con mis vecinos y pedírselas para lavarlas y pintarlas, y contarles el trabajo de recuperación y transformación ha sido una labor. Algunos se han sentido interesados, no sé si han rescatado algunas y pintado, pero los que me las han regalado han recibido una teja transformada en una obra de arte que muchos tienen colgadas en sus paredes del jardín o de su casa.
Quién mas ha salido beneficiada ha sido mi mamá, el año pasado, en un espacio de mi casa acondicionada para las tejas, llegué a tener alrededor de 15 tejas decoradas. Y en algún momentos tuvimos la intención de iros del país y comencé a regalar todos mis cuadros y adornos, entre ellos las tejas que tanto cario les tenía. La mayoría están en la casa de mi mamá y sé que allí permanecerán por mucho tiempo hasta que se deterioren o rompan pero el viaje no se dio y poco a poco he ido rescatando y pintando otra para llenar nuevamente los espacios vacíos.
La ventaja es, que de una u otra forma, sin querer queriendo, hice renovación y de esta manera he ido llenando nuevamente ese espacio que alguna vez alojó mas de 20 tejas decoradas.
Esta ha sido mi historia sobre la forma cómo he alegrado mis espacios en mi hogar, con pequeñas piezas creadas con mis manos. Pero amo reciclar y transformar las tejas.
