Under the Mount of Beatitudes is the city of Tabgha, where Jesus performed one of the main miracles, feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. Today, a modern church stands on this site, built over a mosaic floor left over from a 5th-century church. One of the ancient mosaics depicts a daman animal, which I met a few days later. And under the altar is a stone, on which, presumably, Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes.
