The Fatala Game Reserve is located 6 km from the border of Senegal and the Gambia. Leaving Senegal by land, it is logical to look here on the way.
In the Fatala reserve you can spend the night, but very expensive. You can participate in a safari, but the animals in the park are imported. But you are guaranteed to see them all, from giraffe to rhinoceros. I limited myself to walking with the lions.
Five lions get three donkeys to hunt every four days. Such simple arithmetic. The day before my visit, the lions were fed, so they looked at me rather indifferently. It wasn't scary. I really wanted to touch the smooth side and fluffy tail, but I restrained myself. Previously, the "interaction with lions" package included the opportunity to cuddle lion cubs. But the cubs have grown up and will cuddle whoever you want.
Even when I forget everything that was in Senegal, this memory will remain with me.
