2 minutes from the Gibraltar airport runway you will find the Sunborn Ship Hotel.
In my photos you can see the Gibraltar airport, it has s single runway, this runway intersects the Winston Churchill road extending to the Spanish border. The traffic on the road is closed during every takeoff and landing. I think it is the only one of its kind.
The Sunborn is the perfect place for plane watching!
The ship is laid out exactly like a cruise ship, you have restaurants on the 2nd and top deck and bedrooms on either side of the boat. My favourite area is the top deck, overlooking the stunning views and listening to the hustle of the bars.
