17th March 2022 is the 102nd birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This is celebrated as National Children's Day in Bangladesh. As a part of it, our "Darul Arkam Ebtedayi Madrasa" Taherpur, Balugram, Chapainawabganj celebrated the day through various programs.
Today I will share with you some pictures of him and some information about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. I hope everyone will like it.
On this day in the year 1920, i.e. March 17, a small child was born in Tungipara of Gopalganj district. The name of the small child was Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's father's name is Sheikh Lutfar Rahman and mother's name is Saira Khatun.
When Bangabandhu was born, who could have imagined that this boy would become the jewel in everyone's eyes in the future, not just father.
While studying at the secondary level, there was a problem in the eyes of the meritorious Sheikh Mujib. Sheikh Mujib was admitted to Islamia College after overcoming hundreds of difficulties. There he met great leaders like Hussain Suhrawardy and Abul Hashem.
He played an important role in a conference of democratic youth activists held in Dhaka on 6 September 1947. From then on the active political path began. On 23 February, when the then Prime Minister Khwaja Nizam Uddin declared Urdu as the state language of Pakistan, Bangabandhu immediately protested.
Bangabandhu was arrested on 11 March while calling a general strike demanding state language Bengali. On 14 February 1952, Rashtra Bhasha started a hunger strike in the jail demanding Bangla. In 1953, he was elected general secretary of the council session of the provincial Awami Muslim League. He won the seat of Gopalganj on behalf of United Front.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the 6-point movement, the mass uprising of 1969, the whole period of the liberation war of 1971, served as the leader of the Bengali nation. On 26 March 1971, the Declaration of Independence of Bangladesh was read out under his direction.
On 17 April 1971, he was declared the first President of the Government of Bangladesh formed at Vaidyanath Tala in Mujib Nagar. After independence, he was always engaged in the work of the country. This man, who loved the country and the people of the country, was brutally murdered along with his family on August 15, 1975.
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on your birthday I pray that you are well on the other side. May Allah Ta'ala make you dwell in Paradise.
