I don't understand people making a stink around China making r1 deepseek and how it outperforms O1 by openAI

OpenAI can easily adopt the practices R1 implemented as it is open source actually and do way better

R1 likely trained on chatGPT to get where they are anyway

If you're not familiar with these things, AI companies are one upping each other almost every week.
