Al finalizar la competencia ONLY STATICS 2º Edición, nos quedamos a dormir en Punto Fijo y al día siguiente, después del desayuno, partimos en el bus con rumbo a la ciudad de Maracay. Debo mencionar que desde que salimos de la posada donde dormimos, algunos de los atletas me dijeron que si había posibilidad de hacer una parada en Los Médanos. Yo accedí con la salvedad de que fuesen sólo 15 minutos porque el camino era largo y teníamos que pasar por la ciudad de Valencia a llevar a los atletas del estado Carabobo y seguir a Maracay. De hecho, así fue. Llegamos a Los Médanos y disfrutamos de ese espacio físico natural que es todo un espectáculo. Algunos de los atletas subieron corriendo y otros saltaron hasta lograr llegar a un sitio tan alto que se les veía a lo lejos muy pequeños. Yo decidí subir un poco sobre los bancos de arena y logré tomar algunas fotografías. Mi hija
