Saludos y Bendiciones Amigos.

Greetings and blessings Friends.!
Today I’m sharing my joy at taking first place overall in the second edition of the Villa Azucenas Challenge, known as the “little white house on the mountain.” It’s a route that’s been hard for me to master—one that challenges me immensely every time I climb it—and today I conquered it by earning a spot on the podium, taking first place overall in the women’s division. I couldn’t believe it during the last kilometer—it felt close yet far away. Those meters stretch out as fatigue sets in, and the mind begins to falter. Only hard work, perseverance, and discipline allow us to stay in control and trust our training, and that’s how we master our minds.
It was truly a podium finish that exceeded all expectations. Every runner dreams of standing on the podium; sometimes it seems so far out of reach, but when we stop just imagining it and start working toward it, we achieve it, and this achievement is even more fulfilling because I experienced it alongside my daughter. There is no greater trophy for me than enjoying this achievement and having my daughter by my side in this moment, creating memories for her that she will carry with her forever, and that she will remember and share with her own children and grandchildren. As running moms, with all the sacrifices we make to train and be present in our children’s lives, we are all already winners. Each of us running moms has already earned a medal of honor.
Blessings to all you running moms—keep going. It’s tough, but it’s the best legacy we can leave our children.
