The story behind this photoshoot goes back to an intimate gathering filled with live music and singing. The band “Araz” had been invited to handle the musical part of the event, while I was responsible for photography and visuals. That’s exactly why I decided to capture them while they were performing.
Everything was great—especially the stage lighting and the atmosphere. While they were playing, I was really drawn to the unique connection and emotion that formed between them and their instruments. They would often close their eyes, which seemed to deepen their focus and feeling.
One interesting thing I noticed was that the music they performed was authentic Azerbaijani. The sound of the garmon, alongside the tempo and the keyboard—which filled and harmonized the two—created a flawless and beautiful symphony.
