Fazenda do Secretário
This is one of the best examples of a 18th-19th century coffee farm located in the city of Vassouras, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A neoclassical architecture very characteristic for that time, this farm used to have more then 500,000 coffee trees. This region was a big coffee producer during the 19th century, when coffee world prices were super high. Production went down a lot at the end of the century with prices going down. Nowadays there is almost no coffee production in this region, but these pieces of history are preserved and some open for visitation.
