The sunny autumn weather calls for a walk in nature. On an afternoon walk I came across chestnut trees. At this time of year, the fruit ripens, offering us many culinary experiences. Chestnuts can be cooked, roasted, used in desserts, and even as an ingredient in main dishes. We can really spice up our meals with it! Unfortunately, I was too late, the chestnuts had already been picked and all that was left was a carpet of chestnut shells.
