The Great Mosque of Lhokseumawe Islamic Center was built in 2001. Initially, the largest mosque in Lhokseumawe City belonged to the North Aceh Regency Government which was built on a Rawa Sakti football field. Then, the mosque with a building area and a large plot of land was handed over to the Lhokseumawe City Government.
Currently, the mosque has various facilities such as internet, cooperative and library on the first floor, a large garden and parking lot, learning and teaching rooms which are also located on the first floor, multipurpose hall, library and worship facilities on the second floor.
Apart from being a place of worship, because of the beauty or splendor of this mosque building, many people are enthusiastic about visiting this mosque to perform wedding ceremonies, take pre-wedding photos and so on.
