We are approaching the third Advent and I thought I would share some of the Christmas decorations that we have in our home. My wife gets very excited about Christmas decorations and decorating the tree. It has been a family tradition passed down and she likes to take over this responsibility.
This is good as I am not so good at decorating it. Lighting is currently all the rage now with decorating and this makes some nice effects that you can see here. The good thing about the decorations is that you can reuse them each year so it can also not be so expensive if you add a little once in a while.
These decorations make a nice environment to sit in, especially in the evening when it gets dark early and brightens up the room. Do you have any decorations up yet?
We will probably keep the decorations up until sometime in January. We usually don't have a specific time that we have to take them down, but once we feel that Christmas is over, we usually take them down.
On the tree we have some actual candy sticks and my son ate one and were very happy. When I was younger I was the most excited about the chocolate coins that we would hang on the tree. Unwrapping the chocolate was really cool and it seemed that these coins were only available around Christmas time.
The other really exciting thing I remember from my own Christmas time was getting selection packs with lots of different bars of chocolate in them. The bigger the selection pack, the better!!!
