Serene to Surreal ... Sunsets are [un]Real
Who doesn't love a good sunset? Here in Thailand, especially at the right times of year we can be spoiled with them almost daily. Here's a collection I took during the first half of this year, yet didn't find where to post until discovering Liketu. So this is a photo piece, with a brief break from writing too many words.
I hope you will enjoy being less distracted by my rantings, and can soak up and appreciate the time I put in to get myself in the right place, at the right times, and wait to capture various stages of dusk. There may even be a dawn thrown in for good measure, if I see one.
The Sun Sets in the East not literal, this is a play of words, how easily fake news is made
Being on a shore facing the West, that is a good advantage for ocean sunsets. For the sun sets wherever you are, to a West direction. Yet these are sunsets in the fareast ... sun . sets. in the. east ... yeah you got it.
I grew up in Southwest Devon, England, yet annoyingly the sun always sets over the moors there, not the sea. UNLESS you go to North Devon or Cornwall. I instead went 6000km further east to southeast Asia, and found even better sunsets. So here we are, for an indeterminate amount of time to come (perhaps forever?). Time will tell.
So crack open a cold one, and enjoy a sunset with me ...
The sun sets everyday, and rises everyday. But one day, we all each and every one expire (only for the next gen to rise, of course). So make the most of it - basically.
