Unfortunately, having a health situation in Venezuela is complicated. I have a health problem and I am being seen in a well-known hospital in Caracas. So far, the attention has been good, as the doctors I have seen have been very attentive. However, like other hospitals here, the system in general has been horrible.
I was diagnosed with my condition almost 3 years ago and I have been monitoring my case at the hospital for 1 year. I am almost going on 2 years and I still have not been operated on. Last Thursday I had an appointment with the gastroenterologist, but the doctor did not show up. To top it off, they did not move my appointment, but I have to come back next month to fight for another medical appointment. At the hospital, nothing is certain.

Tener una situación de salud en Venezuela es, lamentablemente, algo complicado. Yo tengo un problema de salud y me estoy viendo en un hospital conocido en Caracas. Hasta el momento, la atención ha sido buena, ya que los doctores que me han tocado han sido muy atentos. Sin embargo, al igual con otros hospitales de aquí, el sistema en general ha sido horrible.
Me detectaron mi condición hace casi 3 años y llevo 1 año controlando mi caso en dicho hospital. Ya casi voy para 2 años y aún no me operan. El jueves pasado tenía cita con el gastroenterólogo, pero la doctora no fue. Y para colmo, no me movieron la cita que ya tenía, sino que tengo que regresar el mes que viene a luchar por otra cita médica. En el hospital, nada es seguro.
