I have heard the argument that people should not attend or perform at Trump's inauguration because they do not want Trump to be legitimized. I just cannot understand that argument. Trump does not need any celebrities or politicians to legitimize his presidency. The voters who put him into office offer all the legitimacy he needs You do not have to like it and I don't like it. But arguments about how to stop Trump from being legitimized strike me as flights into fantasy.
