Spring is around the corner. Everything is dry, blue, light and warm in the city. Look at these beautiful clouds on my way to pick up the kid from school. This has to be the prettiest of sights this year if we discount the snow pretty :) We are almost there spring.
Let's go back to the backyard now where the kid is enjoying his football. He call it soccer and I beg to differ. No matter what we call it, we play the same ball :P I need to get into backyar maintenance as the season is changing. There are multiple things to be done in the backyard this season. First- I need to sow some seeds.
The kid is a big fan of monster cars and trucks. Walmart trips are never empty for him. One monster car a time makes your kid happy, cranky and rise :D These are the moments I want to capture while the kid is growing up. Spending times with him and listening to him. I am glad that we are able to keep him away from games and screens so far. I know he will have his hobbies and he will get hooked up to these games sooner or later. For now, he is not connected and we are happy about that.
This is also where I reflect the benefit of working from home for the last three years. The kid was born right before the pandemic and he got to enjoy my presence all his life.
The work life balance while working from home is amazing. I do not miss the office coffee chats and coordination meetings at all. They are important if you want to go up the chain and be successful in the corporate ladder.
I think I am okay where I am and what I am. I wish to continue having this balance for the next while until the kid is big enough to take care of himself. For now, he will have to bear with me all the time :P
