Deranged Photography Monochrome Contest
Consider me an amateur photographer or even something below that level, if it exists. This would be me participating in a Photography Contest for the first time in life. And I am doing this because I think, my Mango mood fits the Monochrome Theme set for this week, but again, tell me if I am wrong - learning never ends.
I am a big fan of Mango, are you ? Ever since the Mango trees started flowering, I have been capturing them on my Samsung M31S phone - If you look at these photos then they are just different variants of Green - or technically varying tones of a single color ? Of course it will change only when these mangoes ripen, but until then its all of green business - picture full of different tones of green. At least that is what I feel, correct me if its not that way.
And now look at this tree, its full of Mangoes. This color always attracts me and so does the smell. Have you ever gone and smelled these little mangoes ? If not, then I advise you do it once. You will feel humbled with nature. We do use these small mangoes for adding the extra aroma to one of our most favorite recipe of summer , Pakhala that goes almost every day in summer. We even have a dedicated day to celebrate this recipe, it went two days back on 20th. If you want to try that dish, then have some baby mangoes to add that extra aroma and tell me your experience.
This year, not many trees have got mango like last year. If you do not know, then uneven winter and heavy fog are the mango killers. So expect a higher price this year, I am going to eat any way - yes, I have bought them at 1000/- per kg, that is how I am mad about them, so does my Mom. But looking at this tree, I really feel jealous. Do you feel the same ? I feel because its my neighbor's tree and all our trees are empty :) Last time there were so many in my native but we could not enjoy them because I was here and because of Covid I did not go there to leave my parents safe. This year things looks to be normal, but the weather has disappointed.
