Now a days, it is fun to walk around the village. While people are busy in harvesting their Paddys in the fields at the same time, we have some fresh Lotus blooming in our village pond. Generally, what used to be a isolated walk, now turns into so many people around. So I started sitting in the pond area and looking at the natural beauty that started to bloom little early than expected.
This one is biggest pond of our village and used to be our swimming pool in the childhood. Over the times, it turns into home for so many of the Lotus flower. Lotus is a aquatic plant and grows in still and calm water. This year we are seeing a early bloom, and the entire pond has been covered with the flower. The leaves of the plant floats in the water whereas the flower bloom above the water level. This makes it a perfect set up to spend time near the pond area.
Very people able to pluck them from water, as they were quite deep in the water. I remember there used to be quite a water snake in the pond so few people dare to get inside. anyhow these flowers are quite safe as of now, till some naughty kids started destroying them.
