We Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas Day today and Christmas tomorrow. Tonight marks the end of Lent and celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Early in the morning, they go to the forest and pick Christmas tree, which is brought into the house in the evening and is a symbol of health and happiness. My husband brought a Christmas tree as you can see in the photos. In the evening, he brought the Christmas tree into the house and read a prayer. Then we sat around the table with fast food. Two types of fish, salmon and hake, Lenten salad, fruit potatoes and Lenten baklava. We turned the cake with the money around with our hands and everyone took their share. My son got the money. After dinner, the celebration continues in the street with a campfire and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
