And here we are for another beer Saturday!
I found out that yesterday was International Beer Day! I didn't know that was a thing but apparently it happens every year on the first Friday of August. It's not like I need a special date to drink beer, but it's good to know we have a day to celebrate our beloved beverage!
My pick for today is the Imperio Lager, a Brazilian beer that I only found out about recently. It has a different type o cap, as you can see. It resembles the system on soda cans, although it's not quite the same thing. I'm not an expert so I can't say if that is any better or worse than the traditional cap but I can say that it's easier to crack it open!
But anyway, back to the beer. It's pretty much an entry-level beer, so I wasn't expecting much from it and I was right to do so. It's nothing spectacular but also to bad at all. This is a nice beer to drink very cold on a warm day.
I usually prefer a good IPA but I have been drinking a lot of IPAs recently so I thought it would be good to have a break from that and change styles.
And that's it! Happy (belated) International Beer Day everyone! Catch you next time!
