The closed sunflower looks intriguing. So different from the open flower we all know.
Right before opening its petals
A little shy, just starting to bloom.
The flower we all love. The fully open sunflower will look at the sun and follow it. If there is not sun it will not look this beautiful.
This one worked too much and become two in one. There were just a few with this deformation.
My first trip of this year was to a much warmer place than my trip last year. I brought my mom with me to see a field of her favorite flower, the Sunflower.
That itself made this trip very special, on my trips I usually go with friends but it's been a while since I went with my family and I've never gone on a trip just with my mom before. I wanted to take her to the sunflowers field since I knew about it, but it's been six years since the last time they were planted, and they are not sure yet if they will be planted next year.
That makes this trip even more special: you can't just do it later, it has a timeframe and uncertainty of the next chance.
The guides explained to us that these are not ornament flowers, they have the goal of making sunflower seeds oil, so they are planted only if there will be oil production, and you can't cut the flowers to take them home because they'll die pretty soon.
While there I got to take a bunch of photographs to share, but this round I want to focus on the blooming of the flower. It is so beautiful, and they look pretty interesting and sometimes weird. This field is about to be cut in a week but they still have some flowers in the process of blooming.
