In today's Index4Index Daily Inspired Motivation the focus is on our goals being smaller, manageable parts of our greater whole vision. I really like this way of looking at the relationship between goals and a vision. Basically, in this sense, our vision would be our meta-goal.
"Goals are simply a way of breaking a vision into smaller, workable units."
- Nido. R. Qubein
Our vision could be defined as the integral whole of what we most want for our lives, while our goals are the individual pieces of that greater puzzle. We all have a greater vision for our lives, though we may never have seen it or considered it in that light.
Once we do look at our life and what we most want in this way, it's easier to see how our goals are all working toward something bigger. This helps us clarify and define our vision, making us more able to put it into words.
What is your greater vision for your life? What is your ultimate meta-goal? Take time to feel and think into this, allowing it to percolate inside you for a while.
When we have a clear perspective on our vision, we can then far more easily focus on the most useful and beneficial goals at any particular time to get there. This dramatically speeds up the process of bringing our vision into practical, day-to-day existence.
What glorious vision do you dare to dream? Get clear on it, then give your time, attention, energy, and efforts to that as the goals that you choose for yourself daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and ultimately for your whole life. Is your vision epic? Good! Can you really do it? Yes! Will you have to work for it, Of course! You will have to devote yourself completely to it, however! No half measures here! Go get it, tiger 🐯!
Remember, dear friends, that we are all in this together, that we rise by lifting others, and that together we thrive, so onward and upward, joyfully together! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
