If you're dreaming about a foodie haven, Chiang Mai, Thailand should be your go-to spot. With a gazillion cafes, restaurants, and workspaces, it's like true Disneyland for us digital nomads!
I'm all about mixing things up so swapping my office view every week or few weeks is my jam. Lately, I've fallen head over heels for this cute little spot, Wabi Sabi. It's so convenient, practically a stone's throw away from my new dispensary.
It's open at the crack of dawn 7 AM! So rare to find this nowadays so I appreciate this fact! Even though it's a bit on the small side. Just think of it as 'cozy' with only 4-5 tables, you won't lose your coffee in a sea of other cups! Another fact I love is that I get my daily dose of people watching as the cars zoom by on this small main road. It's just a must for me to have some motion or something going on while working that's why sounds of people talking or a coffee machine working also just perfect for my liking!
Funny thing, my Kizomba buddy from the Latin dance community also loves it here so we're now coffee companion each morning.
This spot isn't just all about the vibes, though. The internet is speedy, and the coffee is pure magic, without burning a hole in your pocket. Prices start from 40 baht and go up to 70 baht. Compared to some other places in Nimman or Chiang Mai in general, it's a real steal!
Oh, I also love their loyalty program? After you've downed ten cups of coffee (which believe me, happens faster than you'd think), you get the 11th cup free. I've taken advantage of this sweet deal a few times already, win-win!
So, while I plan to spread my wings and explore more of what Chiang Mai has to offer, Wabi Sabi has made a permanent home in my work game (at least in the morning because it starts to get a little too hot after noon). If you're on the hunt for a cool spot with great coffee, or you need a chill place to work, Wabi Sabi is sure one great choice!
