Sunset at the highest point of the island, facing Sulu Sea. The grassy hills of Mararison complement well with the sea in the background. It's one of the views I'll never get tired of witnessing.
Riding on a small boat from Culasi to Mararison Island. I looked so haggard because I still hadn't recovered from the climb. Maria (
Celebratory photo even if I wasn't able to summit the most coveted Mt. Madja-as.
Enjoying the view of the other side of the island, the one facing Panay mountain ranges.
Taking a dip in the sea near Kawit Sandbar. This was on our second day on the island.
Of course, I should have a solo shot.
Let's just pretend I was having a blast even when I had a fever and my breathing felt like it was just halfway through my lungs.
Avisala!
I already posted some photos from Mararison Island, but I realized I haven't shared a single photo with me in it. Now, wanted to share these photos, which I fondly called "Memories of Mararison". Thanks to for some of the photos!
Mararison is one of my favorite islands in the Philippines. It's not too touristy, unlike Boracay Island. The laidback vibe of the island and even the lack of signal added to its appeal for me. There are a few accommodations on the island, but don't expect a five-star experience. It's just a rudimentary place to sleep.
Enjoy!
