Dice la leyenda que en la región que se extiende entre los ríos Paraná y Uruguay vivía un joven hermoso, fuerte y con grandes virtudes. Como es natural, todas las doncellas que vivían a su alrededor estaban enamoradas de él, tanto que ni siquiera miraban a los otros jóvenes, ni prestaban atención a sus cortejos, solo tenían ojos para él.
