I'm not going to lie
I'm always curious about the day of the dead
I'm sure I'm not the only one
and that many of us are waiting
even if it's just a sign
or the smell of their flowers


people say that on a day like today
colorfully dressed corpses will come
and that we must recognize the skull
and the forgotten voice in my head
but the only thing that matters to me
is that they come looking for lots of love


But it's my duty to remind you
That that's not all
because if you don't place your skull
or buy a lot of candles
in the wee hours of the morning they will pull your legs out
and they will finish with all your house
Although I doubt if that's true?


Definitely...
People always tell lies
or almost always to get their way
Although I'm already decorating my altar
And it's looking beautiful
With flowers, skulls and purple marbles

I told everyone not to think you'd be fooling around
because they were going to be disappointed
to wait with such joy
for their deceased in the living room
But remember to put their picture
So you can dance the night away
to the rhythm of longing...

Although place plenty of light, desserts and candles
Because with this year of pandemic
many more deceased will return
because they miss having said goodbye
with love and in the presence
of the only thing that made them feel alive...
