La canción que les voy a interpretar se llama “Join Me In Death” (Únte A Mi En La Muerte) de la banda finlandesa de rock/metal gótico H.I.M (His Infernal Majesty). Esta canción es el 1er sencillo del 2do álbum de estudio de la banda titulado “Razorblade Romance” lanzado en el año 1999. Cabe destacar que este sencillo posicionó a H.I.M en el escenario musical internacional, consolidando su fama y un sonido muy original para el género.
La canción a pesar de tener un titulo muy sugestivo y una letra que puede prestarse a polémica, realmente está inspirada en la historia de William Shakespeare “Romeo Y Julieta”, una tragedia romántica en donde sus protagonistas, pese a la oposición de sus familias, decidieron aventurarse en una historia de amor que al final culmina de una forma inesperada, sencillamente por el hecho de jurarse amor eterno… el eje central de toda esta experiencia es que tanto Romeo como Julieta se amaban perdidamente y lucharon contra todo obstáculo hasta que encontraron una forma de mantener ese amor en el más allá y así nadie pudiera luchar contra ello…
Hoy la traigo para ustedes representando al amor bonito, no trágico, ese que nos hace luchar hasta el cansancio y nos hace hacer locuras y sacrificar cosas para mantenerlo, ese amor que nos apasiona y envuelve tanto nuestras almas que nos hace sentir fuera de este mundo.
La canción es una balada al mejor estilo del heavy metal, donde la voz del vocalista y el sonido del piano la hacen llevarte a un ambiente de melancolía, pero extrañamente, lleno de romance y pasión; es una canción que hace que te guste mucho el género ya que también tiene un potente videoclip.

The song that I am going to interpret is called "Join Me In Death" of the Finnish gothic rock/metal band H.I.M (His Infernal Majesty). It is worth mentioning that this single positioned H.I.M. in the international music scene, consolidating their fame and a very original sound for the genre.
The song, in spite of having a very suggestive title and lyrics that could be controversial, is actually inspired by William Shakespeare's story "Romeo and Juliet", a romantic tragedy where its protagonists, despite their families' opposition, decided to venture into a love story that in the end culminates in an unexpected way, simply by the fact of swearing eternal love to each other; the central axis of this whole experience is that both Romeo and Juliet loved each other madly and fought against every obstacle until they found a way to keep that love in the afterlife so that no one could fight against it...
Today I bring it to you representing the beautiful love, not tragic, the one that makes us fight until exhaustion and makes us do crazy things and sacrifice things to keep it, that love that makes us passionate and envelops our souls so much that makes us feel out of this world.
The song is a ballad in the best heavy metal style, where the vocalist's voice and the sound of the piano make it take you to an atmosphere of melancholy, but strangely, full of romance and passion; it is a song that makes you like the genre a lot since it also has a powerful videoclip.
