Recomendación: Flow, una joya animada😺✨[Esp/Eng]

Espero se encuentren súper bien. En esta oportunidad les traigo una recomendación de un film animado, estrenado apenas el año pasado, y además el protagonista es un gato.

Flow nos presenta la historia de un gato en un mundo inundado y aparentemente posthumano, donde las especies sobrevivientes se ven amenazadas por las mismas fuerzas de la naturaleza. Justo al inicio de la peli vemos cómo el mundo se transforma en mar por completo; todo se encuentra completamente cubierto por agua. Y justo ese cambio marca todos los acontecimientos que vendrán después.

I hope you are all doing great. Today, I would like to recommend an animated film that was released just last year, and the main character is a cat.

Flow tells the story of a cat in a flooded, seemingly post-human world, where the surviving species are threatened by the forces of nature themselves. Right at the beginning of the film, we see how the world is completely transformed into sea; everything is completely covered by water. And it is precisely this change that marks all the events that will follow.

A medida que avanza la historia, nuestro protagonista se va encontrando con otros animales. Aunque todos sean de diferentes especies, se ven obligados a enfrentar los peligros de ese mundo juntos: naufragios, estructuras antiguas medio sumergidas, cambios bruscos en el terreno y encuentros con distintas amenazas, que ponen a prueba su instinto y su unión

Esta peli realmente fue una linda casualidad para mí, porque la vi simplemente porque en su portada tenía un gato, y resultó ser una maravilla. Sin diálogos, logra transmitir muchísimo; sin una sola palabra entiendes todo lo que va sintiendo el misu: miedo, desconfianza, curiosidad y la necesidad de no estar solos.

As the story progresses, our protagonist encounters other animals. Although they are all different species, they are forced to face the dangers of this world together: shipwrecks, half-submerged ancient structures, sudden changes in terrain, and encounters with various threats, that test their instincts and their bond.

This movie was really a nice coincidence for me, because I saw it simply because it had a cat on the cover, and it turned out to be wonderful. Without dialogue, it manages to convey so much; without a single word, you understand everything the cat is feeling: fear, mistrust, curiosity, and the need not to be alone.

La producción te habla en muchos sentidos. Visualmente es una verdadera joya, el nivel de detalle en cada escena es una locura, y la incorporación de la música y los sonidos naturales te hacen vivir las emociones de los animales, te transportan completamente a ese momento.

Algo que me gustó bastante fue la mezcla de momentos tranquilos con otros más intensos y llenos de emoción. Tiene escenas bastante duras, porque como dicen, la naturaleza no perdona, pero también hay mucha ternura entre los animales y tú solo quieres que todos estén bien.

The production speaks to you in many ways. Visually, it is a real gem, the level of detail in each scene is incredible, and the incorporation of music and natural sounds allows you to experience the emotions of the animals, completely transporting you to that moment.

Something I really liked was the mix of quiet moments with others that were more intense and full of emotion. It has some pretty tough scenes, because as they say, nature is unforgiving, but there is also a lot of tenderness between the animals, and you just want everyone to be okay.

Lo que sí tengo que comentarles es que no esperen una peli con prisas; es una experiencia emocional y visual, si te gustan esas pelis que te hacen pensar sin que la trama te dé un millón de detalles. Si no, puede que te parezca lenta al principio.

What I do have to tell you is not to expect a fast-paced film; it's an emotional and visual experience, if you like those films that make you think without the plot giving you a million details. If not, you may find it slow at first.
