During my service year, we are trained to be physically fit for any encounter during the services. I can remember many kind of activities available for us and coaches are ready to train and encourage us. As indicated in the picture above, I enjoyed those games and races for both the medically, physical and social advantages.
Apart from that tug of war, which we win so convincingly. We engage in several form of races. I can remember vividly how I won the egg race. In that race, everyone have an egg on a spoon to get the finish line first. Any mistakes can be distraction which will break the egg and disqualified the participant immediately. Having developed a good skills and strategies, my egg will be firmly fixed till the finished line making me the ultimate champion.
The strategies that helped me are simple and effective. The egg must balanced freely on the depth part of the spoon and my focus on it is so strong. At the start of the race, I don't rush like others but walk briskly and increase my pace towards the finish line. Walking at first will reduce the zeal of other participants and when they are attracted into walking like me. Then, I will increase my pace to win the race with keeping my hand straight for the relaxation of the egg.
I represented my group on the finals and won a gold medal and good "3 points" to the leaderboard. I was immediately chosen to contest with other representatives. It was very easy race because I have practice and masters my skills for the tasks ahead. My favorite part during the race is that in body status and age, I was the youngest. The organizers and other participants laughed at me on the beginning but my winning surprise them all. Skills and hard work wins the race, not height or body structure.
During our physical exercises times with my students, I encourage and train them to be champions like me. During our inter-house sporting events, where the students are categorized into groups with colors as their symbols. I was the blue house captain and my house won the competition due to the zeal, skills and motivation from me to the students.
We focus on the least games to win more points than only football games where everyone depends solely on. Rat races, sprint and other tracks and field events was our goal to win the competition. Selecting the right people to represent us after many days of training them was very simple. Also, focusing on training them to be champion was challenging at first but becomes simple and easy till we win the races.
Participating in race have positive impact. The muscle are build up and energy been recharged for greater performance and success. It strengthen our muscular tissues, bones and immune system. For example, a friend of mine once told me that my incessant malaria bout is because of lack of aerobic exercises which races belong. Truly keeping fit improve our health and well-being.
Finally
Races of their kinds are outdoor activities that have great impact on body building and fitness. It's a kind of outdoor exercise on which the participants get fit, healthy and won some awards. Participants are credited and seem fit before engaging with others on the race. Racers triumphs when they are crowned but others also benefited medically.
