I tried to run with great enjoyment, without force. Every now and then I would take a small walk for about 10 seconds to catch my breath. Looking at the results of my splits, I was pretty consistent by starting at a pace of 7 from the first kilometre to kilometre 8. After that, from kilometre 8 to 11 I dropped the pace to 8/km.
This was my longest run while using strava. I didn't feel any pressure as I ran comfortably. By going uphill and downhill twice, I achieved an elevation gain of 33m. I ended my run in 1.33.44 minutes with a total of 12.07 kilometres and an average pace of 7:41/km. This is not bad at all, I burned about 700 calories in my body. It's time for the endorphin rush. Yeay!
Initially, this run was to be included in Pelindo's 33km Ride and Run challenge which is due by the end of the month. However, it looks like I will not be included, because I just found out that to get a medal from the Pelindo Ride and Run, runners must enter the standings and medal projections. The maximum total standings for each category were only 2500, while I was in the 3400-plus standings.
But, this does not make me disappointed. At least I am motivated to keep running and moving. In total, I have run 22.3km for Pelindo. So, I need about 11 more kilometres to complete the total challenge in this Pelindo Ride and Run. I will keep paying up to 33km. Keep moving, every one! Thank you.
