Yahooo, mina-san! I'm back with something interesting.
May 9th started as a normal day for me. I went to our university to attend an exam and never expected that it will be one the best days I will have on campus. The day was busier than usual, but what caught my attention the most was the students I encountered around in anime cosplay costumes. As an otaku, my eyes widened in curiosity and excitement. It turned out that the other department is celebrating their Japanese Culmination. Booths selling Japanese foods : sushi 🍣 and onigiri 🍙, and students in 👘 yukata, kimono, and cosplaying costumes. I was in heaven!
My heart beat so fast in excitement and I can imagine stars in my eyes as I continued to look around with my friend. We finished the exam immediately and went to watch their cosplay competition and it was so much fun. My first ever cosplay convention although just within the campus. Everyone looked so cool in their attire.
I could feel my feet almost off the ground as I wanted to jump up and down. I'm totally simping over the 3rd year students who were so great at pulling off the characters they decided to cosplay. I was like a kid in her first time at an amusement park. Every time I turn my head I see characters I really liked from my favorite anime shows.
However, despite the excitement I had, I couldn't bring myself to ask them to take photos with me cause I'm too shy 😭. But thankfully, my friend Dani who was with me at that time, asked them for me.
I was able to take photos with No Face from Spirited Away. And I tell you, we looked so cute in these photos.
I also took photos with Shinubo-chan and Muichiro from Kimetsu no Yaiba.
And yeah, Muichiro was such an Ikemen kekeke. I could feel my face getting so red as I was too shy. I am totally fangirling so hard over these characters.
And here's another photos of me while heavily fangirling over this character. She's so cool and I just really need to have photos with her. There I am trying so hard to hold my smile.
I also want to take photos with these three but I failed to do so since my shyness beat me to it. But, just look at how cool they are!
Yor, Sakamoto, and this character whose name I couldn't remember but I swear I watched the anime. There was also Sukuna, the Karasuno boys, Zoro, ahhhhhhh it was the best day ever!
I really appreciated how their department poured too much effort in preparing for this event that even I who belongs from other department had a blast attending it. We wandered around, conversed in Japanese as we are kinda capable of hehe, took wonderful photos and videos to captured the moment.
After the cosplay competition and the awardings followed the highlight of the event the "lantern festival." With the lanterns floating up in the sky and the fireworks, the place illuminated beautifully.
With warmth in our smiles, my friends and I went home, with the hope of attending another lantern festival together outside school.
