Plastic was once termed as a blessing for humanity but it has become a curse now mainly because of it's non-degradable nature and massive usage. It's huge usage is polluting the environment and resultantly creating a lot of deadly diseases as it does not dissolve. while around 300 million tons of plastic are manufactured annually, only 10% of which is reused, the rest is wasted and as it does not dissolve, it pollutes and disfigures the surface land and creates health hazards.

It is deadly for aquatic habitat as millions of tons are deposited into the oceans and seas. The case of Extracting of 29 kilograms of plastic from stomach of a blue whale on a coast of South Spain and 40 kilograms from a bull’s belly in Bhuwaneswar prove that the plastic is present in abundance and is being the reason of wide spread health hazards not to human beings only but to entire life on earth.

Plastic can not be decomposed even if it is buried in soil. sometimes the plastic bags are use for packing poison and when we throw those plastic bags in to garbage, those are picked by rag-pickers who wash and sell them to the shopkeepers who then use it and pack things which we use in packing our vegetables and cooked food. It affects our health directly.

The Plastic material, when burnt, gives off a lot of toxic substances and harmful gases. These harmful gases can also become the reason of cancer in human beings.
We should destroy our daily usage plastic things such as straws, water bottles and coffee cups and limiting them to single use. We can do it by simply stretching or biting them. With this the shopkeepers will be unable to reuse them.

We also need to shift to cloth and paper bags for shopping purposes, this will reduce the excessive usage of plastic.
Let's stop depositing plastic of any sort and amount to the oceans and save our aquatic friends.
