Today, Saturday, May 16, 2020, the #hivetorch was sent to me by , and with it, I received from my Hive virtual friend, American as an origin but living in Germany, the trust badge as well. Why do I call it the trust badge? Because it came from the badger, and this torch being sent to me is a sign of trust.
As I commented on his post as well, I come from the country of Dracula but, the country of gypsies as well. The number of em don't actually exceed the number of Romanians living in this country but, some of them gypsies, quite many actually, have spread themselves throughout the whole Europe and have really created us a bad name and painted us a bloody image. An image of thieves, trust less people, and a not so civilized nation at all. Part true, part false. Mostly false, for me as a red blooded Romanian.
How has that affected me and why I have always done the work of proper information regarding Romania and Romanians, is that when I traveled/worked in some countries in Europe, I've been given the Romanian stigma right from the beginning, and I had to earn my right to take it off. Now, here on Hive, I got the badge, the trust badge and the hive torch, passing it forward.
Regarding the initiative, I don't know much but, I intuitively get the point and I appreciate it. Why? Because it's a nice game that we can play strengthening our connections in here, and acting as a community, as we consider ourselves. Oh...that community, we often talk about it but, quite rarely act like it, and in most of the cases we act as one, solely when being threatened, an example being the situation with Justin Sun when for a while we were a community.
I am the ninth torch holder and the one that will pass it to the tenth participant, and it feels damn great. It really made my morning brighter and my breakfast yogurt sweeter. It has to be passed over pretty fast and I am not intending to slow its pace. Hence I am handing it to and it's no surprise why...
He asked for it... Well actually he didn't but, he suggested that, and I couldn't resist his psychological trick, this way proving to be, as he calls himself a great self improvement hunter and a guru of persuasion. I guess he got to that level where he can make people do what he likes by simply commenting on their posts... Hope I'll be on that level one day as well.
Anyway, I received 8 HIVE from and will send 9 to
, passing the torch properly, with the hopes that much more will participate in this community game and to make it burn stronger and stronger. As I said multiple times on my blog, I got to believe in this blockchain strongly, I see its potential, I'm living it every day, and it even pays my bills so, let the torch lighten us.
What will this torch burn for at the end? I really have no clue but, I hope it will become a social cause and some in need will benefit from it. I wouldn't mind at all donating some HIVE once in a while for who folks that really need it. Juts a side opinion, because I have no clue what's the actual purpose of the torch.
Without any other comments on my side, and trying to make this post as short and concise as I can, I'm thanking for choosing me to pass the torch forward, to
for initiating The Hivetorch and making the first transfer, in what will hopefully become a long row of transfers passing the torch, and will now pass it to
who will for sure hand it to someone trust worthy pouring more gas on fire.
Over and out, badger
Here you have the original post of the #hivetorch initiative
And... this is my flag, the Romanian flag :)
Thanks for attention,
