El Salvador is already famous around the world for making Bitcoin a legal currency over there and there are talks lately in the crypto community about what country could do that next? There are hints towards Panama, Brazil and others, but you would be amazed of what other candidate is on that list?
The United States of America
According to Blockworks it seems that Arizona has a bill proposal to make Bitcoin legal tender. Texas is to become a Bitcoin mining hub, so...
Here you have the filling for the proposal. According to the bill status it was first read on 01/25/2022. If for some reason when opening the link you are not directed to the exact proposal, just search for 1341 and it will point you exactly to it.
Funny that we don't have a Bitcoin spot ETF approved in the US already and the administration of the president is calling for regulations naming Bitcoin a national security issue, but there is a proposal to make it legal tender in Arizona. No guarantees the bill shall pass, but nevertheless it is an event we shouldn't ignore.
We already have mayors converting their salaries in Bitcoin in the US, respectively the mayor of Miami and the ones from New York, congressmen advocating Bitcoin and other politicians, so why not?
I find it hard to believe that the Federal Reserve which is a private entity printing money in the US will allow that to happen, but Bitcoin is full of surprises so lets not take anything out of equation... What do you think of this bill proposal, by the way?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
